This is our favorite restaurant in Laramie. We are moving away in a week, and I’m not even exaggerating when I say that Sweet Melissa’s is what we will miss the most from this town. I love the Mac of the day, Bahn Mi, and Gyro. In a town where the only other options are pretty much bar food and steak houses, this place is a gem.
It's been a long day. Drove up from Castle Rock, CO - Drove around town, decided I needed a good meal. Stopped by Sweet Melissa, ordered the Grilled Cheese on sourdough with a cup of Potato Garlic soup and Lemonade no ice. The Potato Garlic soup was delicious, perfect balance of ingredients. The Lemonade tasted fresh, I asked if they make it in-house and they said they do. The Grilled Cheese was awesome, the cheese has some stretch to it, asked for some ketchup because I like to dip mine, 😋. Garnished with three pickles, ate one, it was good. Very affordable meal, roughly under $16, paid $20, left the rest as tip. Great experience, they use paper straws but they are the good kind that don't detoriate after 4 seconds. No issues, service was perfect, ambiance was great. It's connected with the tavern next door, wide range of alcohol options if that's your jam. Will go back in the future.
Dinner was outstanding! Everything we ate had the most amazing flavor combinations. I amnot a vegan or vegetarian but this place is a must try. If I lived closer I would convert.
Ryan my server was SO SWEET and helpful and patient. The notes I made for my Google saved places: LITERALLY INCREDIBLE and DELICIOUS. Caesar salad is incredible. Dolmas are absolutely delicious. Black bean goat cheese burger is fine/good but should try something else next time! The raspberry chipotle ravioli maybe. Darjeeling express drink was delicious as well. Burrito is apparently big and delicious too
We had an amazing lunch and dinner here. This vegetarian café was absolutely perfect for the fasting season. My daughter is keeping a fast for the first time in her life, and she was truly surprised that food during fasting can be this delicious. At some moments she could not even tell whether the dish contained meat or if it was completely vegan. We were genuinely impressed. Everything was incredibly tasty, healthy, and beautifully prepared. The location and atmosphere are also wonderful. This place made our fasting experience feel special, and we are very grateful to have discovered it.
Absolutely amazing meal at Sweet Melissa, here in Laramie, Wyoming. The garlic hummus was fresh, creamy, and packed with flavor, and the buffalo cauliflower had the perfect balance of heat and crispiness. But the standout for me was the caramelized onion, goat cheese, and black bean burger on a gluten-free bun — rich, savory, and honestly one of the best veggie burgers I’ve ever had. Every dish tasted thoughtful and homemade. Even as someone who isn’t strictly vegetarian, I’d come back again in a heartbeat.
Very good food, vegan/ vegetarian. Love the hummus appetizer and the Califlower salad sandwich was very tasty as was their portabello ruben sandwich. Our server was fun and gave us excellent service. The price was very good for our meal and there was a lot of food. We took home half of our meal. Looking forward to eating there again. I think we found our new favorite eatery in Laramie, WY!
What an absolute gem! The Mac and cheese was truly delightful, and the goat cheese caramelized onion burger blew my mind. So good. I need so many more stomachs to try everything!
I was looking for vegan food in Laramie and am so happy I chose Sweet Melissa. Even though they were very busy, the server was very nice and helpful with the menu and suggestions. The food was excellent. I had the tempeh gyro and mashed potatoes. The prices were great for this day and age. Will definitely return when in Laramie. Cute place and great old town location.
Stopped by Sweet Melissa in Laramie, WY on my drive back to Pittsburgh after visiting Yellowstone and Grand Teton, and I’m so glad I did. I took a chance on this place for lunch and ended up having the best ravioli I’ve ever had. I ordered the jerk ravioli and it was incredibly flavorful - easily an 11/10. The food tasted fresh, unique, and full of flavor. Definitely a spot I’d come back to if I’m passing through again.
